Why "How Now Black Cow?" One day we were going through some old family photos, and we found this picture of a cow that belonged to my great-grandparents when my dad's mother was a little girl. I thought it was a cool picture. Her name is Bessie. Really. Dad's mom used to make us "black cows" - root beer floats with vanilla ice cream - when we stayed with her. As for the cow noise, that's an inside joke from high school. They seem a good match, nonetheless.
